tooth Notice

The pandemic and my reaching 80 years have conspired to force me to rethink the wisdom of continuing to practice. For over 50 yeas I have loved my profession. My staff is like family. I consider my patients as friends. I have sadly come to the conclusion that I must stop.

On a brighter side is that the person (actually a husband and wife team) who will be taking over the practice share my love of the art and science of dentistry and share my love of working with people.

Her name is Ruchee Taneja. She received her dental degree from BU in 2015 and before that in 2009 a Masters Degree in Periodontology in India. His name is Jatinder “Jay” Jawanda. He, too, has his dental degree from BU (2012) and practices as an associate in another office. Dr. Taneja will be here most days.

If I have to leave, I am quite comfortable I am leaving the practice and my great staff in good hands.

  • Peggy Cavanaugh, RDH: Always warm, friendly and welcoming. She inspires the best in home care for her patients, and they love her and her work. Peggy and I have worked together for thirty-five years.

  • Lisa Scott, RDH: Caring, thorough and meticulous in all she does. Good with patients of all ages. Lisa and I have worked together for thirty-two years.

  • Carol Landry, RDH: We got to know each other back in the 70’s when she, Peggy, Lisa and I became interested in learning monitored and modulated anti-infective periodontal therapy (as was she) – using periodontal surgery only as a last resort in gum therapy. I was finally able to coax her into joining us part time ten years ago when she and her family moved back from Texas.

  • Linda Bracco, CDA: Linda started working with me in ’78 shortly after graduating from assisting school. She left five years later when her twin boys were born. We were fortunate to get her back once they reached jr. hgh school. Linda knows what I want, and what I’m going to do and has the instruments in hand before I’ve thought about it. It’s frightening sometimes!

  • Patty Coole: Patty is the friendly voice and face of the office. When you call she is likely to be the person with whom you’ll be talking. She is often the first person to greet you when you come in. She and Becky are always juggling the schedule to accommodate to people’s needs.

  • Peggy Hwang, RDH: We have all known Peggy for a decade. Not only have we known her as a dedicated and clinically able professional, we have known her as a friendly and cheerful person. Happily, Peggy agreed to join our staff last November 2018.

  • Donna McDonagh: Donna is our accounts manager. She has the unenviable job of dealing with insurance companies. Often she manages the front desk, always cheerfully and efficiently.
